Jolly Wodgers, or RD Lewis as it was originally known, was formed in 1980 by Roger Lewis who travelled around to various shops in and around London and Essex selling jokes, novelties and fancy dress accessories from the back of his van.  Over the years Roger built up a steady trade and good reputation for service.  Unfortunately due to ill health Roger had to find a new owner to take over the business.  He wanted someone with the same desire and passion that he possessed; somebody that would take the company to the next level-without losing the personal touch or excellent customer service.  So in 2004 the company was sold to its current owner Michael O’Connell who now continues the philosophy set out by the previous owner.

Jolly Wodgers is located in Essex where it has several warehouse buildings and offices.  The company also has the added advantage of being able to store over 40 shipping containers.  They are currently in the process of building a new 1000 sq foot Showroom where they hope to meet lots of existing and new customers.

Jolly Wodgers stocks over 4000 lines.  It has cherry picked the best products from the best companies and keeps them all in one place-so you don’t have to try to make up 3 or 4 orders per week to different suppliers as Jolly Wodgers has it all under one roof.  The policy of the company has always been that wall space is precious and the founder’s favourite saying about good products was ‘ The Winners make the Dinners ‘ so with no minimum order and only £150 for a carriage paid order you simply cannot go wrong.
